Ushers
This past year was a great year for the Ushers at Holy Spirit. The congregation experienced wonderful growth this year, and with that came many great opportunities for the Ushers to meet and greet many new and wonderful people.
As Ushers, our Duties include:
- Greeting people as they enter the church;
- Making sure everyone gets a service bulletin;
- Greeting new comers and visitors. (Ushers are often the first members of Holy Spirit that a visitor will make contact with upon entering the church).
- Directing New Comers and Visitors to the Guest sign in book;
- Reading the Prayers of the People;
- Bringing the Bread and Wine to the Altar;
- Taking the collection, and bringing it to the Altar during the Doxology;
- Directing parishoners during the Communion Service;
- Opening the doors for the Priest, Deacons, and Acolytes at the end of the service
