“Sounds of the Spirit” is the group of people who bring music to enhance the Worship Service each Sunday morning. This is done each week through these dedicated people who love to share the gifts given to them. It is made possible by each week getting together and working out the service through our Wednesday night rehearsal. We are a group of people who enjoy giving, what we were so freely given, to you…the congregation at Holy Spirit.

          Music enhances the feeling of the service. It can create a mood, a reflection, an excitement through the words, rhythm and sound  to bring together a balance to the worship service. It takes a great deal of time and energy. By the end of any Sunday worship service there is a cumulative effort of 24-25 hours from the week that went into that one service. Over the course of the 6 years we’ve been doing the ministry we have learned nearly 500 songs, not including the hymns from the Hymnal.

          We are the blessed ones. The most rewarding part of this ministry is when we hear from you that the music touched you that week, how and why. We have the same experience, ourselves. When music is chosen with the great thought that we try to give each week, and done well, we are blessed because we feel the same thing you feel as we sing to our God.
