Adult Education
On June 5th Holy Spirit will offer an eight week study for those who are currently experiencing or have in the past experienced sorrow, grief, and loss in their lives. This reflective and meditative course is based on a book written by Joyce Rupp, entitled, Your Sorrow Is My Sorrow. The course is based on the seven sorrows of Mary the Mother of Jesus whose sorrowful events and experiences often relate directly to our own. As we enter into these sorrows and study them one by one and reflect on them we will see how Mary questioned and grappled with what was confusing and unclear, how she needed others to be there for her, and how she reflected on her life experiences in order to find meaning in them. Joyce Rupp’s book will be provided at the retail price of $16.95. We will order the book for you but we need you to sign up for the class no later than May 26th so we can have the book by the June 5th start date.
